MOG ROITH’s LAMENT *

.
I am sorry my friends...
I love you all

but…

When it comes to

"What"
it's all about?

At length

I have discovered
that it is not
so much about
honoring the gods

Nor is it
so much about
sacrifice, ghosti
and reciprocity.

Now,
if you really believe
that it is, I’m not saying
that you’re “wrong”,
so much as
that you are...
missing The Point...

You see,

What it really IS about
is...
Community,
Celebration,
Cyclicity,

the holy passage of the
Seasons,

and the grim succession of the
Years

in service of

             Memory,
and its role in the evolution and
maintenance of the Soul...

That,
my chums,
is
what it's about.

* MOG ROITH (Mug Ruith)
The celebrated Druid from the Irish hero-tales.
It has always brought a smile to my face when I remember that his
name translates as  “Slave of the Wheel”.

( "Yep, you'n me bud..." )
